Deteriorating roads could be good news for dealers

The results of a road survey by the RAC gives even more weight to arguments for dealers to get involved in tyre fitting.

The RAC Breakdown Britain report, its study on the state of the nation’s roads, directly attribute a deterioration in the condition and quality of UK roads to an upturn in vehicle breakdowns, and potentially lucrative repairs for dealers.

Of the 620 RAC patrols surveyed, 76% reported an increase in call-outs to damaged tyres, 56% saw a rise in suspension failures, and 51% reported chipped windscreens as more common.
