Ford U.S. light-vehicle sales in June fell 10.7 percent, the car maker’s smallest percentage decline in 16 months, as analysts saw signs that the industry’s two-year slide might have reached the bottom.
Ford sold 154,873 cars and trucks, for its narrowest decline since February 2008. For the year, the company’s sales are now down 34.1 percent. Subaru said its sales for the month rose 3.4 percent. Porsche posted a 66 percent plunge, and Daimler AG slumped 26.5 percent, including a 56.2 percent drop for its Smart microcar brand.
