BMW announced this week that its group sales (which include the BMW, Mini and Rolls Royce brands) rose 14.6 percent to 116,391 units in April when compared with the same month in 2009. The BMW brand itself increased sales volumes by 16.9 percent in April to 98,494 units.
“We benefitted from growing market demand worldwide in April and were able to increase sales volumes in almost all European markets, in the Americas and in Asia,” BMW said in a statement.
“However, it remains to be seen how resilient and sustainable the economic upturn will be in the markets”.
