The industry’s leading specialist PR consultancy, Automotive PR – as proven by being the only specialist automotive business in PR Week’s Top 150′ agency listing – has released a list of Twitter’s top 50 UK automotive ‘influencers. The list is available at: http://apr.im/toptwitterers.
Automotive PR tops the list, which reinforces what those successfully engaging in social media already know; that it’s not just about who has the largest number of followers or fans, but who engages the most effectively.
Marco Ferrari, Managing Director at Automotive PR, commented: “We’ve had a presence on Twitter for more than two years and have built up our profile into the most influential UK automotive presence by ensuring that we listen, engage, add value and most importantly remain authentic.
“Whilst we do of course use Twitter as a broadcast channel for news about us and our clients, and it is now driving a significant amount of traffic to our website, it’s been most useful as a means of engaging with, and raising our profile within, the automotive industry as a whole.
“The list shows that the most influential voices on Twitter aren’t just the largest manufacturers with the biggest marketing budgets, but can include car enthusiasts and bloggers who regularly engage with journalists, PR people and other industry figures.”
In recent months, Automotive PR has provided expert commentary for Haymarket’s social media blog, The Wall; as well as Mashable, the world’s largest social media news website.
The list was compiled by aggregating data from PeerIndex and Klout, two of the most established websites that measure online influence.
