The motoring industry is currently abuzz with the news that the Audi A6 is set to receive a makeover in the months to come. In fact, a number of industry specialists are predicting that the refreshed executive sedan will make its debut as early as October at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
However, those driving one of the Audi A6 models already on the road have access to plenty of accessories and extras so they can make their set of wheels look and feel fresh again.
Here are a few highlights:
A few months ago, we analysed research conducted by VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, which found that 78 per cent of motorists answered ‘yes’ to the question ‘Do you ever knowingly break the law whilst driving?’.
You can see the full results of the study here. However, one of the main findings of the research was that out of all of those drivers who answered ‘yes’, 71 per cent said that speeding was one of the ways there were breaking the law.
The head-up display on the Audi A6 could be one way of ensuring you take more care to follow the rules of the road. This is because the system not only displays how fast you are travelling at by hovering the figure over your windscreen, but also the speed limit that is active on the stretch of road you are following.
Are you bored of listening to adverts every five minutes or so on your car radio? Have you been through your CD collection ten times over and feel like you now know every song word for word?
The adapters easily connect onto your Audi A6’s dashboard and will provide you with instant access to a comprehensive music library that you have full control over.
Adaptive cruise control
With roads across the UK often filled with traffic, it can be very difficult to gauge how all those motorists around you are going to act on the road. Receive a huge helping hand with the Audi A6’s adaptive cruise control system.
Made up of one radar that scans 250 metres ahead of the car and a small video camera that analyses a wider span of the road up to 60 metres in front, the system is great whether you are travelling along a busy motorway, navigating bustling city centre streets or approaching a junction at a roundabout.
This is because with the two radars working in tandem, your car will be able to monitor the speed you are travelling at, as well as how far you are from the vehicle in front.
You never need to fear another car suddenly shifting across to your lane again, as the system will slow the A6 down appropriately until the danger has passed and then continue on at the speed you had originally entered to cruise at.
