Ford F-150 SVT Raptor | Successful across the world

rappy1-626x417Ford sales in Europe may not set any records but due to economic crisis. In the U.S. however they get better and better. According to Mitula plenty of people select it for its off-road performance. The model which has accomplished such feats is the F-150 SVT Raptor.

This off-road-ready Ford vehicle has set a record in sales in 8 of the last 10 months with 14% more vehicles being purchases by aspiring new car owners. And it did so, despite the fact that the cheaper Raptor edition costs $ 44,000 and its fuel consumption is slightly increased -21 l/100km in the city and 15 on the highway, even for the American data.

Yet, in spite of these cons, the SVT Raptors spend only 15 days at exhibitions before someone comes to purchase one. Given the fact that the average day span spent in exhibitions for a new car is 60 days, we can see that this performance is significally better for the industry.

“The thing that boosts the Raptor sales is that the car offers unparalleled off-road performance to our customers. The Raptor is also proof of our commitment to provide a truck for every customer and to constantly improve the product to meet its buyer’s needs”, said Doug Scott, Ford Truck Group Marketing Manager. To meet the increased demand for Raptors, Ford has increased its production of 3 vehicles per hour at 5, ie 48 more cars a day.

F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition

Ford has also presented a new special edition of the F-150 SVT Raptor, which only has some cosmetic changes. The new edition package adds several improvements in luxury package such as the custom Ruby Red Metallic paint with graphics for the cab part. Inside seats are padded in Brick Red with black inserts, the board is coated with high quality materials and also features a center console.

There are no mechanical changes and the F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition has the same V8 6.2- liter engine that delivers 411 horses and 588 Nm of torque, bringing the movement to all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission box.
